Threads account health

Dozens of signals, from followers and bio to posting history and engagement, matched to how Threads ranks accounts. You see how much to post and what to fix first.

What Threads rewards

Threads grows accounts that show up regularly and start conversations, and quietly stops showing accounts that repeat themselves, push links or sell too early. All of it follows how Meta describes the feed.

Your connected account is audited against that, and the day’s catches are fitted to what it can carry.

The score

Zero to ten, from facts: account age, followers, how often you post, how many people see a typical post, whether people reply to you and whether you reply back, and whether the profile is finished — bio, photo, link. The target is 6.

Two ceilings you cannot write your way around: a new account or one under 30 followers tops out at 4, and fewer than two posts in the last 30 days tops out at 5.5.

The warm-up line, and Held

Four steps: Newcomer, Regular, Trusted, Insider. The first 14 days are Newcomer whatever the score, Trusted opens at 6, and Insider needs 300 followers with a first post that is at least 30 days old.

The profile itself can hold you where you are. A private account or an empty bio holds you at any score; once the score is high enough, a bio that does not say what you build, or a missing photo, holds you too. The card says you are Held and what to fix.

Posting never slows down

Two posts a day, three at Insider. Posting is never cut back to warm the account up, because showing up is the thing Threads rewards.

What changes is how much of it is about your product: none as a Newcomer or while Held, about one post in ten at Regular, about one in five from Trusted. Every post is a problem, a lesson or a number from building, and ends with a question.

Replies in other people’s conversations

  • Three a day as a Newcomer.
  • Five to seven at Regular.
  • Seven to ten at Trusted.
  • Ten at Insider.

Never more than one reply to the same person in a week. Replies do not pitch and carry no links — the one exception is from Trusted, when someone asks which tool to use, and then you can name yours once a day.

Replies under your own posts

When someone comments on your post you get a card to answer them, with no daily limit. Answering people who talk to you is never spam, and it is the conversation the feed is built to reward. Your product comes up only if they ask about it.

Links

The link in your bio is always yours. Links inside posts open at Trusted, up to two a week, and only in posts that are about your product. Replies stay link-free.

What the audit gives you back

  • Recommended fixes, ranked — and an empty list when there is nothing to fix.
  • Bio: what works, what hurts, and three drafts to copy — about you, about the product, about your niche.
  • Post guide: your own rules for how you sound, the words you use and the ones you never say, plus up to five posts you liked. They set the voice; they are never copied.
  • Auto-post: posts go out at their slot time inside what your level allows. You can cancel a scheduled post until it goes out — once it is live, only Threads can remove it.

It re-checks itself

The account is re-measured every three days and the line updates on its own. Each week the number of conversation replies goes up by one if you closed at least half of those cards.

If your views fall under a quarter of a usual week while you keep posting, or followers drop more than ten percent in a week, everything pauses for 48 hours — then it is worth checking Account status in your Threads settings to see whether your posts are still being recommended. Every Monday the full audit re-runs for accounts that changed.
