From the deck to the post
Generated videos arrive as a deck. Skip the ones you do not want, open Edit if something needs changing, or approve it — and approving starts the publishing flow. Three steps, then it is out of your hands.
Step 1: where it goes
Your connected accounts are listed with the handle each post will go out under. Tick the ones this video is for. An account you have not connected yet has a Connect button on its own row, so you do not have to leave and come back.
Step 2: what it says
Every selected platform gets its own caption field, already filled, with that platform’s character limit counted underneath. Edit one without touching the others — a TikTok caption and a Facebook caption rarely want to be the same sentence.
Hashtags sit below the captions as their own block, with the settings for how they are chosen one click away.
Step 3: when it goes out
- Auto-schedule — HeyCatch picks the time.
- Post ASAP — it goes out in about five minutes.
- Pick a date and time — you choose the exact slot.
Auto-schedule is the default, and for most posts there is no reason to change it.
What auto-schedule goes on
Each platform is timed separately, so the same video does not land everywhere at once:
- Your timezone, so nothing goes out while you are asleep and cannot answer a comment.
- When your own account has posted before and what those posts did.
- When your followers on that platform are online.
- How that platform spreads posts after they go up.
When to take the time back
Post ASAP is for replying to something that is happening right now, where being four hours late is worse than being badly timed. A date and time is for a launch, a release note or anything that has to be live on a particular day.
